Went to the O2 tonight, which is an enormous and relatively-new concert venue, with some of the girls to see our Latvian friend Mara perform in Synergy with the Queen Mary Bellydancing Society. Fall Out Boy was performing on the big stage in another part of the venue, but there was also a movie theater (or "cinema" as they call them here), amusement park rides, and at least 20 restaurants. Pretty nuts.
Where we went in the O2 was on the smaller stage called IndigO2. It was basically a student variety show for all of the different clubs and societies from Queen Mary and Bart's (our rival school apparently?). The acts ranged anywhere from music to dancing to singing to fashion. A 4-hour long show for only 10 pounds...now that's a deal! Nice to do something different and Mara (bellydancer in blue) was glad we came out to support her. She was incredible!
