Lucerne - Switzerland Day 4

Got an early start today, but still not the weather we were hoping for. Dad had to work again so Mom and I took the train to Lucerne. Had to sprint to the platform, but we made it. Great sights and a quick ride.

We were going to take a tram up the mountains, but decided it wouldn't be worth it because of all the clouds. So instead we walked around the old part of town peeking into lots of great bakeries. We walked across Chapel Bridge which was beautiful. Mom had seen it before it burnt down in '93, but luckily it's been restored - a big part of Lucerne's history.
So many swans in the clear water! We saw a woman fall in trying to take a picture with them - so funny. We explored the streets and some churches. Then we went to the Musegg Wall which was cool and saw the lion monument, but there was construction taking place with both of them of course - still cool to see though.
We weren't too hungry for lunch, but then we found a great bakery and couldn't pass it up so we split a pizza and enjoyed it on a bench by the water. We walked some more and saw some really neat architecture before deciding it was time for dessert. Split a delicious apple strudel and ate it on Chapel Bridge! Very windy and started to get chilly so we caught the train back to Zurich.
When we got back to the hotel we thought we'd kick back and read before Dad returned, but we both ended up falling asleep! When Dad got back from work he took a nap as well and then we walked to an Italian restaurant to meet up with two of Dad's colleagues from NY who have been living in Switzerland for the past 3 months. Had a delicious dinner and the couple was nice. We had everything from appetizers to dessert and then walked Fran and Victor back to the train station. Couldn't believe it's already our last night together!
